Ruta del románico por caminos tradicionales I

Barruera-Erill-Boí-Taüll-Boí-Durro-Barruera
Total distance: 15,2 km
Positive difference in altitude 715 m, negative difference in altitude 703 m,
Duration: 5 hours
Difficulty level according to the Sendif method: demanding

We leave Barruera (1,097 m), from the Tourist Office, we go towards the church of Sant Feliu to take the path on the right bank of the river in a northerly direction, following the asphalted track. Leave the old stone bridge on the right and continue straight on along the path. Follow the path to the left, cross a bridge and continue along the river until you reach the entrance to the cement works. We then turn left and continue upstream until, after a stretch of ascent between dry stone walls, we come to a bend in the old road. We continue to the right for 350 m, and go through the tunnel that will take us to the other side of the L-500 road. We climb between dry stone walls for the last stretch that will take us, after crossing the ravine, to the Tarter de Erill la Vall square (1,250 m).
Once in Erill la Vall (1,247 m) we descend towards the church of Santa Eulàlia to take the path that will take us to Boí (1,265 m). Descend all the way down until you reach the L-500 road, which you will have to cross. Some stairs will take us to a wooden bridge over the Noguera de Tor and we will take the ascent until we reach the Boí car park.
In Boí (1,265 m) we follow the path that leaves the Taüll road. Continuing uphill, we pass through cobbled sections of the road until we reach the Taüll road (1,480 m), about 400 m from San Climent, up the road. Now we undo the path to return to Boí, along the same road we came up. Once in Boí, go down to the river square towards the south. After 200 m, take the turning that goes up to the left and cross a large tartar from where you have a fantastic panoramic view of the Boí Valley. Cross a peak near the Roca d'Espà and then descend to Durro (1,390 m), reaching the asphalted track above the school building. Once at the schools we go down towards the church of the Nativity to join the path on the left between dry stone walls and always through the forest until we reach Barruera, where we cross the old stone bridge to get to the Tourist Office.
