How to reach the faro of Erill la Vall

The faro of Erill la Vall is located at an altitude of 1,505 metres, between the Ribampiedro ravine and the Palomero ridge, in a spot with excellent views of the village and the Vall de Boí.

To reach it, leave Erill la Vall, situated at 1,254 metres, from Plaça del Tarter and follow the direction of the Basco path. At the beginning of the climb, take the turning on the right, which ascends with a considerable gradient up to the faro.

The falla and the tradition

The falles of Erill la Vall were revived around thirty years ago and descend from the authentic faro, located at 1,530 metres. After dinner, the fallaires light their falles and make their way down to the village, where a pyramid-shaped faro made of pine trunks is lit.

After two rounds through the streets, the falles are thrown down and the popular dance begins, accompanied by coca and wine.
