La parada de Txambonet

Parada de Txambonet is a house located in the heart of Vilaller, a village rich in culture and medieval charm. Surrounded by a natural environment, around mountains, lush forests and crystal clear rivers, reasons to be called one of the “Magical Towns” of Spain and where you can enjoy its starry nights in our astronomical viewpoint located in the old town, that is why Vilaller received a Starlight certification by UNESCO in 2019.

The church located at the head of the house is a Romanesque church from the eighteenth century and from our flats you can see its beautiful octagonal bell tower. In the same square you can access the old town where you will enter the alley that passes the vault of a building. Probably created around the twelfth century around the primitive church, it is a maze of narrow and expensive passages where, to take advantage of the space, the houses were built on top of the streets, creating characteristic covered passages.

On this walk you can visit remains of the wall with arcades and medieval tower, remains of the oldest prison in Lleida (s. XVII). The highest point where it is believed that the disappeared castle had existed, a privileged viewpoint lets us enjoy the landscape such as the Gothic bridge over the Noguera Ribagorçana and walk through its streets adorned with old stone houses.
