A haunted trip to the Pyrenees

We propose a journey through the old towns of Pont de Suert, Vilaller and Boí. Three routes that will take you to know the entanglements of the witches of the Carantos and to resort to the enchantments of the Vall de Boí to solve it.

The forests, mountains, rivers or stones of houses and farmhouses have been shaping the landscape of Alta Ribagorça for centuries. The region enjoys idyllic landscapes and welcoming people who have forged the identity of this territory. A region, however, full of legends, mysterious corners and haunted places. Through this game we invite you to get to know Alta Ribagorça, its history, its heritage and its people from the hand of some of these legendary and mysterious characters: the witches of the Carantos.
Legend has it that the witches of Vilaller lived in the Carantos, rock crevices in the mountain, very close to where the boys used to lower the falles on the night of Sant Joan. When it rained, witches would remove dirty clothes from inside the caves and spread them outside to be cleaned. Once clean and dry, the witches hurried to hide their treasure back inside the hole.
At midnight, when the whole town was sleeping, the witches of the Carantos went down to the Plaza de Vilaller and danced the Bolangera. They were never surprised by anyone, and as soon as they sensed that someone was approaching to spy on them, they touched the two of them towards their holes. Only one man from the village, the carpenter Xep de Veleta, had caught them once dancing in the square.
The fact, however, is that a few days ago, a terrible gale scattered all the clothes they had hanging out. Now, the witches propose to help them recover the different pieces of clothing, which have been distributed in different places in the three municipalities of the region. To thank us for your help, if we complete the three itineraries, thus recovering all their clothes, they will give us a prize.
