How to reach the faro of Vilaller

From Vilaller, the route follows the Serreres path to the Carantos de Vilaller, where visitors can discover their characteristic holes and rock formations.

The route ends at the monument to the Falla, an emblematic site that pays tribute to this ancient tradition, so deeply rooted in the territory.

The falla and the tradition

In Vilaller, the falles have been run without interruption. The typical falla, documented since 1960, is made with three planks cut diagonally and filled with Scots pine splinters; it can reach up to three metres in length and is built by groups of fallaires.

In the past, there were four faros. The mai in Massaneres square becomes the bonfire that accompanies the dinner and the dance.
