How to reach the faro of Senet

From the village of Senet, situated at an altitude of 1,290 metres, the route begins at the sawmill and continues southeast along the Santa Cecília path. It then turns right to take the Fontanal path, which climbs directly up to the faro of Madalena, located at an altitude of 1,385 metres.

From this elevated spot, there is a magnificent panoramic view of the village of Senet and the whole Barravés valley.

The falla and the tradition

The falles of Senet are particularly large and can reach up to two and a half metres in length. After dinner in the village, the fallaires climb up the old Gelada path to the communal meadow, where they gather around the biga, a peeled pine tree that serves as the faro.

At the signal, they throw the lit falles and begin the ritual, which culminates with local residents and visitors sharing muscatel wine and coca.
