Pyrenees with the five senses – At the “Parc de les Olors – Prat de Sala” (since 2014), in Vilaller, in a corner of the Barravés Valley, we offer you the opportunity to live the experience of the world of aromatic, culinary and medicinal plants (PAM) with the five senses.

St. John’s wort, arnica, mints, valerian, hyssop… are some of the nearly 50 species of PAM in this privileged environment ….

At the “Parc de les Olors – Prat de Sala” we offer you an environment specifically designed so that we can all enjoy the Pyrenees in a pleasant, fun way, with a lot of autonomy and with the great benefits of contact with nature. We will work on plants through the senses.

• Recognize and relate smells, tastes and shapes of the aromatic, medicinal and culinary plants cultivated, with their properties and useful applications for food and health.
• To learn about the diversity of wild plants, shrubs and Mediterranean trees. What is the forest of the Pyrenees like, what trees live there, what are they like? Why are they like this?
• Understand the operation of an agroecological farm specialising in the cultivation of aromatic, culinary, medicinal and horticultural plants, as an example of the primary production sector.
• We experiment with the smells, tastes, shapes and textures of aromatic and medicinal plants. Let’s feel nature!
• We offer guided tours by appointment (with workshops for children under 11 years old), workshops, “shepherd’s snack”, talks and school workshops for primary, secondary and vocational training.
