Farming, agri-food, gastronomy and the arts
La Cabanera FEST is an initiative promoted by El Pont de Suert Town Council
with the support of various institutions. It was created to showcase
the municipality, a wide territory rich in natural, cultural and agri-food heritage,
with a strong connection to rural life.
The festival highlights farming, promotes local and nearby products,
and creates a meeting point between community, culture and territory. The programme
combines gastronomy and cultural activities including music, theatre, dance
and other artistic expressions.
It also includes workshops, tastings of local products, family activities
and educational proposals to promote transhumance and the area’s heritage.
In Alta Ribagorça there is also a space for festivals and popular culture. Discovering heritage also means discovering the festive spirit: the fallas (the fire festival during the summer solstice), the local festivals, traditional dances, music, fairs, markets…
