26th Girella Fair

El Pont de Suert will celebrate a new edition of the Girella Fair, a mountain event centred around girella, a traditional sausage handmade with lamb and rice.
The fair highlights mountain life, traditional trades and customs linked to the rural and livestock world. The programme includes a wide range of gastronomic activities, such as Giretasts, girella-making workshops and food and drink pairings, as well as cultural activities, craft areas, exhibitions and stalls offering local and regional products.
During the event, the Majoral is also appointed, a figure closely linked to transhumance and sheep farming.
