Dansgènere, III dance exhibition

On September 7, Vall de Boí will host a new edition of Dansgènere, which reaches its third edition full of sensitivity and a message of female empowerment. During the day there will be five free shows open to all audiences in various spaces in Barruera (La Vall de Boí).

The first show Efímera Eternitat by the company Versos en dansa will take place at the Prat de Tunica space at 11.30 am. A short dance piece that seeks to describe, in movement and word, an indescribable experience of harmony with nature and life. “You dive into the frozen river and at that moment only what is really important remains…”

At 12:30 p.m., Dispositivo Labranza by the Lamajara collective will be presented in the Prat de Tunica space. It is a community artistic creation of an intergenerational nature, the result of the experience lived among the participants of the Alta Ribagorça. It revolves around the concept of “camp inins” and evokes the relationship between dance and countryside.

The show Sera paisaje by Natalia Jiménez will be performed at 5:30 p.m. in the La Placeta space. It is a dance piece that explores the basic needs and flow of life in primitive communities. It embodies the transition from one generation to the next, in a cyclical caring, supporting and receiving shelter.

At 6.30 p.m., in the Parc Infantil space, the company Contremporànies will show the contemporary dance piece Respira, with a feminist perspective, where the emotions of the life cycle are the backbone of the choreography: a kinetic corpus that inhales the animosity of the disconnection of the world in which we live and exhales the vindication of the space that, together, we want to dance.

And Jhana Beat will close the exhibition with a sonic explosion of creative energy, by the hand of the beatboxer, singer, guitarist and composer from Leon. “Electronic sound”, influenced by different musical styles such as soul, rock, funky, reggae drum & bass, house… It will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Prat de Tunica space.
