Flash Course on Introduction to Bird Ringing

The Catalan Institute of Ornithology (ICO) organizes an intensive weekend course to get started in the scientific ringing of birds, a technique used to study bird populations and their movements.

It is a mainly practical course, which also includes a theoretical part where the basic fundamentals of scientific ringing are explained, with the support of graphic material. It is not necessary to have previous knowledge of ringing or ornithology, although it is advisable to have some practice in identifying birds.
