3rd Shepherd’s Cheese Fair
At the end of August, the Shepherd Cheese Fair in Taüll (La Vall de Boí) is held with stalls selling cheeses and artisan products.
The Taüll Shepherd’s Cheese Fair is an event jointly organized by the Vall de Boí City Council and the Association of Cheese Shepherds of the Catalan Countries.
The aim of the Fair is to highlight and promote artisan cheeses that are made in small cheese factories, using the milk of the same herd grazed in the area. To give recognition to this tradition and value the work behind each cheese, a distinctive seal has been created that identifies the products that meet this characteristic.
During the meeting, there will be stalls of local artisans and agri-food companies, where visitors will have the opportunity to learn about and purchase their products.
A prominent part of the event will be the scheduled talks, where representatives of some of the participating cheese factories will share their history, experience and the project behind their cheeses.
Don’t miss it!
