After a day of skiing or an exhausting excursion through the Romanesque style of the Vall de Boí, you need to regain your strength. In Taüll the restaurant El Caliu awaits us.

Homemade Catalan cuisine. Duck breast. Mixed escudella. Wild boar civet. Free-range chicken. Foal entrecote. Cheese flounder. Lemon cream. Salad with Caliu. Duck pedreros salad. Rooster crest salad with mushrooms.

We find a balanced and sufficient gastronomic offer, at prices that are not usual for restaurants at the foot of the slopes, in which we combine the direct simplicity of grilled meats (accompanied by powerful side dishes, such as potatoes and artichokes in heat, mushrooms…) with more elaborate dishes, some with the native accent of these mountains, others with a discreet French air. It is worth mentioning that both the jams and the liqueurs are homemade, made by the family with wild fruits harvested personally.
